Welsh Boiler Scrappage Scheme

 

Scheme Description

 The Minister for the Environment, Sustainability and Housing, Jane Davidson, has announced that from the 6th April 2010 the Welsh Boiler Scrappage Scheme will be made available to qualifying homeowners.

To qualify for a £500 voucher the homeowner must:-

  • Be over 60
  • Own their home freehold or have leasehold interest of more than 21 years
  • Have a working G rated boiler
  • Replace with an A rated (or equivalent) boiler or a renewable heat microgeneration technology

 

The £500 vouchers can only be redeemed by installers who have registered with Eaga for the scheme.  You can register as an installer from 1st April via www.heeswales.co.uk.  Full terms and conditions will be available through the registration process and please note you must be accredited to the appropriate professional body to register.

 

How to take part?

OFTEC Registered Technicans are invited to register for the Welsh Boiler Scrappage Scheme via the Eaga Website.

1.   Log onto www.heeswales.co.uk and select the “installer registration” tab.

2.   Enter your details and select the area(s) you want to be registered for.

3.   Read, complete and approve the required documents
